For the remainder of the 2018 eventing season, Team Wright have signed a very exciting sponsorship agreement with Shires Equestrian.

The horses will be looking incredibly smart with a new wardrobe of rugs, to keep them at the perfect temperature for every occasion. We have used Shires rugs for many years, so are delighted to have been accepted as a Team Shires ambassador. For quality and performance you wouldn't get much better.

A massive thank you to Louise Ainge and the Team at Shires Equestrian for there support. We cannot wait to work with you and are looking forward to a very successful partnership.

We are back home now for the next few weeks after a hectic three day event schedule, consisting of some very tight turn arounds in time.

Houghton was educational for all four horses competing and River Warrior, Monbeg Maximus, Dakotah VII and OBOS Colombus will have come on a lot for it. It was then on to Tattersalls across the Irish Sea with Prince Mayo and new ride The Corn Crake to compete in the CCI* and CCI***. I hadn't done a three star for four years, so to finish in the Top 20 with Prince having had a super clear XC I was delighted. The Corn Crake also took the win in the one star, finishing on his awesome dressage score of 28. Very excited about the future!

It was then onto Bramham with DHI Paparazzi for his first CCI***. He stormed around the course, although a little strong at times which we can work on, and I hope we will both come on together having learned a lot from the experience.

We have some one day events now with the young horses before a few steady runs with the big boys, setting them up for the three days at the back end of the season.

After a four and a half hour trek up to Floors Castle Horse Trials for a two night stay, it proved to be well worth the journey. Prince Mayo took first place in the Open Intermediate section for his owners Sir John Peace and Mrs Charlotte Cole, finishing on his leading dressage score of 28. DHI Paparazzi followed suit finishing closely behind in fourth on a score of 33 for Sir John and Ian and Heidi Woodhead. Both horses will now head to the CCI*** at Tattersalls.

Monbeg Maximus scored an impressive win in the Novice section, again finishing on a good dressage score of 28 for owners Jane Duncan and William Buick. He will now be routed to the CCI* at Houghton.

All eight horses performed well at Floors and it was nice to get some good scores across the board.

The 2018 Eventing season is finally underway, starting at Oasby Horse Trials this week. And we're pleased to report that both Primitive Dazzle II and Fathers Compromise performed brilliantly considering we hadn't had a chance to go XC schooling before hand due to the unexpected snow.

Primitive Dazzle did a lovely test to score 29 in the dressage. He had an unlucky pole in the SJ, and was sensational across the country to finish in 9th place overall. He is also for sale on behalf of his owner Rachel Barringer.

Fathers Compromise was thrown in at the deep end missing her scheduled BE90 run at Epworth after it was cancelled. So for her first event completed a BE100 with a 31 dressage, one pole show jumping and a lovely steady clear XC despite being incredibly green. We are delighted for her owner Michelle Pritchard, who has a very nice young horse for the future.

We are very excited to welcome LeMieux / HorseHealth on board as one of our sponsors for 2018.

I have known Robert LeMieux for a very long time, so it will be great to work with him, his family and team throughout the year.

For more details about LeMieux products, please visit the Sponsors page for direct links to the website. The products and range however need no introduction. LeMieux is already regarded as the 'Waitrose' or 'designer label' of the equestrian market. If you are unfamiliar with the products though, please do browse the range.

We have some very spoilt horses!!

I am incredibly excited to announce that we have picked up a very important sponsorship for the 2018 season from Venn Healthcare.

Venn Healthcare is a trusted supplier of the very latest non-invasive systems to the medical, cosmetic, aesthetic and most importantly to us, veterinary markets.

We are extremely grateful of the support from Venn's CEO Chris Schiel, who has over 20 years experience in privately held businesses delivering over £200m of manufactured products using leading-edge technology. And Head Of Operations New Zealander Hugh Fullerton-Smith, who takes the lead on veterinary technology support.

Venn veterinary products provide specialist needs in areas such as shockwave and laser therapy, using the latest in advanced technology.

We are very lucky to be sponsored by Venn Healthcare, and there products will be vital to ensuring the horses are maintained and managed correctly and can perform to the best of their ability. Eventing is a tough sport and injuries are not a case of 'if' but 'when'. With Venn's support the management of horses will be made far easier.
