HOT HICKSTEAD AND FIVE YEAR OLD FINAL QUALIFICATION

We survived the Summer heatwave in July at Hickstead. Temperatures soared above 35.c in the South East and it made for testing conditions in the MS Amlin Eventers Challenge, but Judi Thurloe and Caroline Goodwin’s Rapide GII coped brilliantly. We completed just catching the final fence, otherwise would have easily been in the prizes. We were delighted with him at his first attempt and hope to give it another shot next year.

It was then to Frickley Park with Sir John Peace’s Caunton First Class to compete in her first BE100, which she went on to win. The next outing for her was the 5YO qualifier at Bold Heath, which we are pleased to report that Amy has secured her place in the British Young Horse Championships at Osberton.
